Spot Removal — PicoPlus + Acccento N Concentrated Spot

Spot Removal targets stubborn pigmented lesions — large freckles, solar lentigines, age spots — with concentrated high-fluence laser delivery. ABLE Dermatology Songpa uses PicoPlus picosecond laser and Acccento N 1064nm spot mode to remove pigment quickly.

Unlike repeated low-fluence toning, Spot uses high-fluence direct-shatter approach. Recovery involves micro-scab formation (5~7 days), but pigment removal is faster.

Spot Removal Indications

Recommended for stubborn dark pigmented lesions not responding to repeated toning — large freckles, solar lentigines, age spots.

  • Large freckles·solar lentigines — High-fluence direct-shatter approach
  • Age spots (lentigines) — Concentrated targeted treatment
  • Stubborn pigment — Picosecond domain photoacoustic effect
  • Toning-resistant lesions — Combined PicoPlus + Acccento N mechanism

Spot Removal Procedure Steps

  1. PicoPlus picosecond spot
Picosecond-domain pulse delivers photoacoustic energy to shatter pigment into fine particles. Less thermal damage to surrounding tissue.
  2. Acccento N 1064nm spot mode
1064nm wavelength penetrates deeper to address deep dermal pigment. Selective targeting for stubborn lesions.
  3. Combined mechanism
PicoPlus and Acccento N applied based on pigment depth and density. More precise than single-modality.

Post-Procedure Recovery

Micro-scab forms 1~2 days after spot treatment and falls off naturally over 5~7 days. Do not pick. Treated area appears lighter or pink temporarily; final result evaluated 4~6 weeks later.

  • Strict UV protection for 2~4 weeks after (SPF50+)
  • Do not pick the scab — natural shedding only
  • Cleansing and makeup possible after scab heals
  • Avoid sauna, hot bath, intense exercise for 1 week
  • Whitening creams only on doctor advice

Frequently Asked Questions About Spot Removal

How does it differ from toning?

Toning uses low-fluence repeated approach for gradual pigment lightening. Spot uses high-fluence concentrated approach for faster removal — but recovery involves scab formation.

Will it leave a scar?

Properly performed picosecond spot is unlikely to scar. However, PIH (post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation) can occur, especially without UV protection.

How many sessions needed?

Many lesions respond to 1~2 sessions, but stubborn or deep lesions may need 3~4 sessions at 4~6 week intervals.
