Wave Ulthera — Oleewave Sandwich Lifting Signature

Oleewave → Ulthera → Oleewave sandwich

Oleewave + Ulthera Sandwich — Beyond Standalone Ulthera Limits

ABLE Wave Ulthera is the signature lifting package at ABLE Dermatology Songpa, conducted as a sandwich sequence: Oleewave (Piezo ESWT) 3,000 shots → Ulthera HIFU 500 shots → Oleewave 3,000 shots. Not a simple bundle but an integrated protocol with precisely tuned energy synergy, tissue response, and recovery curve.

Oleewave shockwaves before and after Ulthera enhance tissue absorption and reduce swelling and pain, producing more even lifting and easier recovery than standalone Ulthera. One session delivers 3 energy applications; effects gradually emerge over 2~6 months and last around 1 year.

Clinical Limits of Standalone Ulthera

HIFU (High-Intensity Focused Ultrasound) is a strong non-invasive lifting that creates 65°C coagulation points in the SMAS layer, triggering collagen contraction and neogenesis. However: 1) patients with low pain threshold find the procedure burdensome, 2) heavy swelling and tenderness can persist 1~3 days after, and 3) uneven tissue response sometimes produces partial results. These variables affect recovery and satisfaction with standalone Ulthera.

The Synergy Oleewave Adds

Oleewave is Piezo ESWT (Extracorporeal Shockwave Therapy) that relaxes skin/fascia tissue and activates micro-circulation. Applied before Ulthera, it raises tissue absorption and pain threshold. Applied after, it quickly calms swelling and heat. The result: the same Ulthera energy is delivered more evenly, with meaningfully reduced recovery burden.

Wave Ulthera Indications

Recommended for those who had long recovery or partial results after standalone Ulthera, or who want to maximize SMAS lifting in a single session.

  • Sagging progression from late 30s+ — dermal·SMAS laxity has begun simultaneously
  • Insufficient effect from standalone Ulthera — shockwave enhances absorption uniformity
  • Recovery burden concern — Oleewave reduces swelling and pain
  • Contour refinement — V-line·jawline·cheekline simultaneously

Late 30s~40s Dermal·SMAS Concurrent Laxity

With age, dermal collagen and elastin density decreases, and the SMAS fascia below also progressively loosens. At this stage when both layers change together, surface boosters are insufficient — focused energy reaching the fascia is needed. Wave Ulthera is optimized for integrated lifting at this stage.

Low Satisfaction After Standalone Ulthera

Even with the same Ulthera shots, tissue response can vary by area. Areas with low absorption show weaker effect, and uneven uniformity can produce one-sided lifting. Oleewave pre- and post-aligns tissue, raising the efficiency of the same energy.

V-line·Jawline·Cheekline Contour Refinement

SMAS lifting goes beyond simply pulling sagging up — it restores 3D facial contour. We apply 1.5mm·3.0mm·4.5mm depth cartridges by region, naturally refining the curves of V-line·jawline·cheekline.

ABLE Dermatology Songpa's Wave Ulthera Protocol

More than the equipment and shot counts, sequence, intervals, and region-specific calibration determine results. Director Jeong personally designs cartridge selection and shot distribution by region.

Precise Diagnosis

We evaluate skin thickness, SMAS laxity, and underlying sagging pattern. Filler, thread lift, and metal implants are checked, and facial nerve pathways are considered to set safe zones. Pain threshold and recovery timeline are discussed to set the procedure day.

Precise Procedure

1.5mm·3.0mm·4.5mm cartridges are customized by region. Nerve pathways are avoided, and more shots are distributed to areas with pronounced fascia laxity. Output and intervals are fine-tuned based on patient pain signals to minimize burden.

Recovery Management

Immediately after, Oleewave calms swelling and heat, finishing with soothing mask and cold compress. Step-by-step home care guides are provided for the first 3 days, 1 week, and 1 month, with additional soothing care scheduled as needed.

Wave Ulthera Procedure Steps

Step 1: Oleewave Pre-Conditioning (5~10 min)

Piezo shockwaves deliver uniform micro-vibration to surface skin and fascia tissue. Blood and lymph circulation activate, and pain signaling is muted, making the subsequent Ulthera step considerably more comfortable. A core step for reducing procedure burden.

Step 2: Ulthera HIFU Precise Delivery (15~20 min)

1.5mm·3.0mm·4.5mm cartridges are customized by region to precisely form 65°C coagulation points in the SMAS layer. Immediate collagen contraction occurs, and new collagen gradually fills in over 2~6 months, producing staged lifting effects.

Step 3: Oleewave Finish (5~10 min)

Quickly relieves tissue swelling and heat right after Ulthera, supporting alignment and recovery of the fascia layer. By the end of the procedure, swelling is already significantly reduced, enabling easier return to daily life the next day.

Wave Ulthera Frequently Asked Questions

How is it different from standalone Ulthera?

Focused energy is the same but pre/post Oleewave enhances absorption uniformity and reduces swelling/pain. Clinically more even lifting and faster recovery.

How often should I receive it?

Once every 6~12 months recommended. Effect emerges over 2~6 months and lasts ~1 year.

How painful is it?

Temporary dull pain during the Ulthera step, but pre/post Oleewave raises pain threshold and rapidly reduces swelling — most patients report it's more comfortable than standalone Ulthera.

How long does the total procedure take?

About 30~40 minutes including preparation. Step 1 Oleewave 5~10 min, Step 2 Ulthera 15~20 min, Step 3 Oleewave 5~10 min.

Can I receive it after filler·threads?

If filler or threads are in the treatment area, energy delivery may be affected and prior notice is needed. Director Jeong personally evaluates feasibility and intervals.

Can I return to daily life immediately after?

Erythema and tightness subside within hours, and daily return is possible from the next day. Avoid sauna, hot bath, intense exercise for 1 week.

Be able to choose, not be pushed.
